About Us

Whats our Story?

At Anglo Aunty’s, expect authentic, home-style, Anglo-Indian food.

The East India Company gained their foothold in India in the early 1600’s and with them they brought their cuisine. When the British finally retreated in 1947, they left behind the one thing they could not take with them, their influence on the Indian way of cooking. From the many, many descendants of naturalized Englishmen in India, the Anglo-Indian culture was born. Here at Anglo Aunty’s Takeaway, we hope to bring to your home, the amazing fusion of English cuisine combined with a heady mixture of Indian spices, such as cumin, star anise, bay leaves and red chilly.

We aim to please, by serving only the most authentic of foods that are carefully monitored by our good friends, the Anglo Aunties. Based on bonafide recipes, and using only the healthiest and freshest of ingredients, our home-style cooking is bound to keep you coming back for more! Our meat and poultry are sourced fresh and have NO artificial preservatives. So, kick back with a bottle of wine, and get the complete Anglo-Indian experience from the comfort of your dining room.

What our Customers Say…

“Anglo Aunty’s Takeaway is comfort food for the soul. The food is mind-blowing and the experience we had will definitely send us back for more. It really does taste like home cooked food and, DAMN was it FRESH! The food tasting event was also very well organized.”
Nandini
“Just so different! Never expected to get such unique food in the city. Especially not this well made and decently priced. Keep going! Anglo Aunty’s Takeaway has raised the bar, even at the food tasting!”
Bharath

“Speaking as someone who grew up eating primarily this kind of food, I can safely say that this is one of the best and authentic places I’ve eaten Anglo-Indian food from. Perhaps some twists in the menu would be more intriguing. Would be great to see how Anglo Aunty’s Takeaway moves forward.”
Raisa
“The first thing I have to say is that customer care is great here! Got to know the food directors well at the taste testing event and I can’t wait for Anglo Aunty’s Takeaway to grow. As for the food itself, the head chef is simply superb and can’t do anything wrong! All the best Anglo Aunty’s!”
